Orlando is the most visited city in the United States — over 74 million tourists a year, and nearly all of them eat out. But behind the theme park magic, what’s really going on in those restaurant kitchens?

We pulled the public inspection records for 3,968 restaurants across Orlando, covering nearly 1,500 inspections from DBPR. The results are eye-opening.

By the Numbers

1,963
A Grade
1,061
B Grade
581
C Grade
363
F Grade

Only 49% of Orlando restaurants earned an A grade. That’s below the state average. And with 363 F-graded restaurants, Orlando has one of the highest failure counts of any city in Florida.

10 Restaurants Scored a Zero

That’s right — ten Orlando restaurants scored 0 out of 100 on our InspectFL Health Score. That means extensive critical violations across their inspections.

Birria 1983
Mexican/Latin — Score: 0
F
Gogi Hotpot & BBQ & Sushi
Japanese/Sushi — Score: 0
F
Ten Ten Seafood and Grill
Seafood — Score: 0

Crazy Buffet

A-Aki Sushi
Japanese/Sushi — Score: 0

Five more restaurants also scored zero: Isan Zaap Thai Cafe, China Garden, WingHouse Bar and Grill, Pao Gostoso Bakery, and Hoffner Catering & Supply. You can look up their full inspection history on InspectFL.

The International Drive Problem

I-Drive is where most Orlando tourists eat. It’s also where some of the worst inspection scores in the city are hiding.

Pao Gostoso Bakery
5472 International Dr — Score: 0
F
Spicy Girl
5748 International Dr — Score: 35.5
F
Uno Pizzeria & Grill
8250 International Dr — Score: 42.3
F
Texas de Brazil
5259 International Dr — Score: 46
F
Cafe Tu Tu Tango
8625 S International Dr — Score: 48.8

That’s five F-graded restaurants on one road — the same road millions of tourists walk down every year. If you’re visiting Orlando and eating on I-Drive, check the score first.

How Do the Famous Spots Stack Up?

Orlando has no shortage of well-known restaurants. Here’s how the big names scored:

4 Rivers BBQ
International Dr / Universal Blvd
100
Bahama Breeze (Airport)
Jeff Fuqua Blvd
98.8
Bahama Breeze (Oak Ridge)
5620 W Oak Ridge Rd
97
Bonefish Grill (Central FL Pkwy)
6730 Central Florida Pkwy
96
Seasons 52
7700 Sand Lake Rd
92.5
Hawkers Asian Street Food
1103 N Mills Ave
91.5
Pig Floyd's Urban Barbakoa
1326 N Mills Ave
89

4 Rivers BBQ leads the pack with a perfect 100. Both Bahama Breeze locations score well above 95.

But here’s the shocker:

The Cheesecake Factory (Regency)
11602 Regency Village Dr — Score: 45.5
F

Same brand, two locations, wildly different scores. The Millenia Cheesecake Factory scores 94. The Regency Village location? 45.5 — an F grade. That’s the difference between a clean kitchen and a failing one, at the same chain.

Orlando’s Cleanest Restaurants

These spots earned a perfect 100/100 — zero violations across all inspections:

4 Rivers BBQ
International Dr
100
Walkabout Pizza
Pizza/Italian
100
Sushi Haru
Japanese/Sushi
100
Sushi 101
Japanese/Sushi
100

What Types of Food Dominate Orlando?

American
92
Café/Breakfast
76
Hotel/Resort
67
Fast Food
66
Mexican/Latin
65
Pizza/Italian
60

Hotel/Resort restaurants rank third — no surprise in a city built on tourism. The theme parks and resorts have their own kitchens, and many of them score well (Disney properties in particular tend to keep things tight).

The Bottom Line

Orlando is a tale of two cities. The local favorites and upscale spots tend to score well — 4 Rivers, Bahama Breeze, Bonefish Grill all earn A grades. But the tourist corridor along International Drive has a real problem, with multiple F-graded restaurants serving millions of visitors who have no idea what’s happening in the kitchen.

363 F-graded restaurants in one city is alarming. That’s nearly 1 in 10.

Before you eat in Orlando — whether you’re a local or a visitor — check the score first. Look up any Orlando restaurant on InspectFL.
